About

Random Distractions (: is an exhibition imagined by Lucas and Alice, respectfully designer and communicator. Sharing a common passion for committed, accessible, and meaningful design, this exhibition reflects our desire to collaborate on a project that embodies our shared aspirations: to imagine, create, and above all, to convey a form of design that aligns with today’s global challenges. Through a selection of seven projects from Lucas’s experimentations, Random Distractions (: explores the tensions between critical thinking, creative process, and collective engagement. The objects and installations focus on themes such as circularity, material reuse, technology, and social or political dynamics, approached through a transdisciplinary and open-source lens. Rather than glorifying the final result, this exhibition aims to highlight the detours: the wobbly prototypes, the inspiring failures, the unfinished or revived ideas, and the unexpected exchanges between friends, artists, engineers, or curious minds. Random Distractions (: thus aims to be a living, interactive, and evolving space that invites visitors to understand the behind-the-scenes of contemporary design creation.
