Mavito lamps

About

This lamp was born from the intention to reinterpret the lightweight structure of Coderch’s lamp, making paper the protagonist and turning it into an active structural element.

Its design combines digital fabrication with everyday materials and is also inspired by the shape of Barcelona’s panot flower, transferring this visual language to a new context.

The main structure was digitally designed and produced using 3D printing, serving as a modular skeleton that facilitates assembly and disassembly.

What makes it most unique is that the papers themselves—inserted and stretched between the printed pieces—not only filter the light and define the lamp’s atmosphere but also provide rigidity and cohesion to the whole, creating a symbiotic relationship between support and diffuser material.

This light and organic design explores the boundaries between the ephemeral and the structural, the digital and the manual, proposing new hybrid production methods.

Additionally, it is an easy-to-transport lamp that occupies little space and can be fully customized to your preferences, allowing you to choose the color of the structure, the paper, and the type of fastener.
