We made lamps from Marbled Salts :Marbled salts is made from 90%sea salt, one of the most available and cheap resource on the planet, and was developed in order to remain easily reusable/biodegradable in order to follow interior fashions and trends. Inspired from old marble faking techniques as the Italian ​Stucco marmo o​r​ Scagliolia, the project herein draws a contradictory parallel between the flexible versatility of salt and the material language of heavy and solid rock.

Bio : Roxane Lahidji is a social designer specializing in ecological material developments and applications. Her research focuses on achieving luxurious-looking objects and surfaces from low costs and raw resources and the Marbled Salts pieces produced in her studio are sold, shipped and shown internationally in galleries and museums.
