Louisa Carmona, textile artist working in the kitchen and laundry room
Flore and Pauline Fockedey, textile artist and architect working in the breakfast room
Marc Van Hoe, textile artist in the family room
Martine De Buuscher and Mickael Van Neder, velvet producers at Weverij Van Neder
The COMME SUR DU VELOURS exhibition 13 September 2024 → 30 June 2025
Five artists are inviting themselves to Horta House: carte blanche for Louisa Carmona, Flore and Pauline Fockedey, Elise Peroi and Marc Van Hoe. They will be in dialogue with artisans specialising in velvet: the Van Neder company (Courtrai, BE) and Florence and Martine Moulis, velvet swordswomen (Arles, FR).
On the strength of the close links forged between the Musée Horta and a host of top-quality craftsmen, the museum is repeating this triple encounter between designers, know-how and a place.
