When on the look out for a new office space, we came along this sleeping beauty. Situated 5 walking minutes from the Parvis de St. Gilles on a little scenic square. This REZ-commerciale was abandoned for over 4 years and in need off total renovation and space conversion – including façade. Aiming to create not only a service providing commerce and interior architecture office, but also a vivid and turning space. A build business card and show office (sophiegreen) on the one hand and on the other hand our “creativity overflow basin”(alias schaufenster) and multifunctional canvas to host installations, expositions, collaborations, exclusive events and pop up shops. The floor – partially raised– preserving, renovating and framing original features – enlarging and structuring the various zones; Walls of light, curtains and mirrors provide a calm backdrop and surprising perspectives; made to measure furniture elements underline the architectural directions and provide storage; The recovered light defusing ceiling “mille feuille” from Jules Wabbes was equipped with modern LED strip lights which turns into a breathtakingly beautiful and spectacular lighting feature. Multifunctional, universal design – a color and material combination born out of original feature and salvaged materials, transported into today times and it’s technical solutions, topped with the love for detail – creating build communication of what this service providing commerce stands for: pure interior architecture.
